Cryptocurrency has changed how online casinos handle deposits and withdrawals, but not every major crypto platform welcomes gambling transactions.
Binance, Coinbase, Revolut and Paysafe all provide financial services connected to digital assets. However, their gambling policies differ considerably. Some prohibit certain gambling transactions, while others actively provide payment processing to licensed casino operators.

In April 2026, Paysafe introduced a dedicated cryptocurrency payment solution for regulated US iGaming businesses, demonstrating how digital assets are becoming part of established gambling payment infrastructure.

For players, the important question is no longer simply whether a cryptocurrency can be transferred. It is whether the payment provider permits the transaction, whether the casino is authorized in the player's jurisdiction and whether the selected payment method is supported.

Binance: Crypto Transfers Are Not the Same as Gambling Authorization

Binance is one of the world's largest cryptocurrency exchanges and supports withdrawals of various digital assets to external blockchain addresses.

That technical capability is the basis of DivaJackpot's existing guide, How to Deposit Crypto from Binance to Stake.

However, Binance's published terms contain restrictions on using its services for games of chance, including online casinos, sports forecasting and internet gaming.

Its Binance Pay merchant restrictions also prohibit illegal or unlicensed gambling businesses.

This means that an external cryptocurrency withdrawal should not automatically be interpreted as permission to fund an online casino.

The applicable terms may differ between Binance entities, products and jurisdictions. Customers should check the agreement governing their own account rather than assuming that a technically possible transfer is an authorized gambling payment.

Coinbase: Licensed Gambling and Unlawful Gambling Are Treated Differently

Coinbase operates a cryptocurrency exchange, digital asset custody services and payment-related products.

Its published prohibited-use policy explicitly restricts unlawful gambling, including internet gaming and games of chance that lack appropriate governmental authorization.

However, Coinbase Card has a separate and broader restriction. According to Coinbase's official support documentation, the card cannot be used for gambling purchases, including transactions involving government-licensed online casinos.

This distinction is important.

A customer may be able to hold or transfer cryptocurrency using a Coinbase account, but that does not establish that a particular casino payment is permitted. Coinbase Card users should not expect gambling transactions to be accepted, even when the merchant is licensed.

Coinbase therefore should not be described as a universally supported crypto casino payment method.

Revolut: Gambling Payments Depend on Local Regulation

Revolut combines digital banking, card payments and cryptocurrency-related services, but its approach to gambling is shaped heavily by national regulations.

The company confirms that some European countries require payment providers to block transactions involving unauthorized gambling businesses.

Revolut uses regulatory information to enforce restrictions on certain gambling merchants. It also provides a gambling block feature in supported markets, allowing customers to restrict gambling-related card payments.

Unlike a cryptocurrency exchange, Revolut's card payment service generally operates through conventional merchant payment infrastructure.

Consequently, a casino accepting card payments does not necessarily accept cryptocurrency through Revolut.

Players should distinguish between using a Revolut card, buying cryptocurrency through Revolut and transferring digital assets externally. These are different services with separate eligibility requirements.

Paysafe: A Payment Provider That Explicitly Supports Regulated Gambling

Paysafe has a substantially different business model.

Rather than functioning primarily as a consumer cryptocurrency exchange, the company provides payment processing infrastructure to businesses, including licensed online gambling operators.

Its iGaming portfolio includes payment cards, digital wallets, alternative payment methods and cryptocurrency-related solutions.

On April 7, 2026, Paysafe announced Pay with Crypto, a new service developed with MoonPay for the US iGaming and daily fantasy sports sectors.

The solution allows customers of participating operators to fund eligible gaming accounts using supported cryptocurrencies and stablecoins, where legally permitted.

Crypto payments are converted into US dollars for the player's gaming balance. Operators can select settlement arrangements supported by the service.

The significance is considerable, cryptocurrency can become a payment option within a regulated casino cashier without requiring the operator to maintain the customer's gambling balance in cryptocurrency.

However, the service's US launch does not establish worldwide availability or universal acceptance at every casino using Paysafe.

Skrill and Neteller Established Gambling Wallets With Crypto Services

Skrill and Neteller, both part of Paysafe, have long-standing relationships with the online gambling industry.

Their merchant payment infrastructure explicitly supports gambling businesses, alongside other industries.

In April 2026, Paysafe announced that its digital wallet business had secured authorization under the European Union's Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA), enabling the expansion of regulated cryptocurrency services across the European Economic Area.

This development strengthens Skrill and Neteller's position in digital finance, but it does not mean that every casino accepting Skrill or Neteller also accepts cryptocurrency directly.

An operator may accept a conventional Skrill wallet payment while its customers separately use Skrill's cryptocurrency services.
The two activities should not be confused.

MoonPay Connecting Crypto Wallets With Casino Payment Infrastructure

MoonPay has emerged as an important technology provider behind regulated cryptocurrency payment solutions.

Its partnership with Paysafe allows eligible gaming operators to integrate crypto-funded deposits into their existing payment systems.

Instead of requiring casinos to build their own cryptocurrency processing infrastructure, MoonPay handles elements of the blockchain payment process and conversion into conventional currency.

This model could become increasingly relevant as regulated gambling operators seek to offer digital asset payments while maintaining established financial controls.

Nevertheless, support depends on the individual merchant, jurisdiction and approved payment flow.

Comparison: Which Platforms Support Gambling Payments?

 NamePlatform TypeCasino Payment Specifics
BinanceCryptocurrency exchangeTerms restrict use of services for games of chance; external withdrawal capability is not casino authorization
CoinbaseCrypto exchange and wallet servicesUnlawful gambling prohibited; Coinbase Card excludes gambling purchases
RevolutDigital banking and paymentsLicensed merchant payments may be possible where permitted; local blocking rules apply
PaysafeMerchant payment processingExplicitly supports regulated iGaming, including eligible crypto-funded deposits
SkrillDigital wallet and crypto servicesSupports approved gambling merchants; crypto functionality is separate
NetellerDigital wallet and crypto servicesSupports approved gambling merchants; crypto functionality is separate
MoonPayCrypto payment infrastructurePowers crypto payment services for eligible regulated gaming merchants

Important: None of these platforms provides unrestricted gambling payments worldwide. Acceptance depends on the payment product, country, operator authorization and current terms.

Why Crypto Casino Payments Are Becoming More Regulated

The growing involvement of established payment companies suggests that cryptocurrency gambling payments are entering a more structured phase.

Previously, many crypto casino transactions relied on players transferring digital assets directly between external wallets and gambling platforms.

The emerging alternative involves licensed payment intermediaries, identity verification, transaction monitoring and conversion between cryptocurrency and fiat currencies.

For regulators, this may provide clearer oversight of payment flows.

For operators, it could reduce the operational complexity associated with accepting cryptocurrencies.

For consumers, however, cryptocurrency still introduces risks, including irreversible transfers, network errors, price volatility and potential account restrictions.

What DivaJackpot Expects in 2027

We anticipate that regulated crypto casino payments will increasingly depend on partnerships between gambling operators, established payment processors and specialist blockchain infrastructure providers.

At the same time, traditional exchanges and digital banks are likely to maintain restrictions on gambling activity that falls outside their risk policies or local legal requirements.

The distinction between owning cryptocurrency and being permitted to use it for gambling will therefore become more important.

The future of crypto casino payments may be less about sending Bitcoin from any exchange to any casino, and more about whether regulated payment providers can make digital assets compatible with gambling compliance requirements.
